Kathy, a welsh speaking Montgomeryshire farmers daughter and mother of four, is now established as a leading Welsh artist and publisher, painting vibrant watercolours of blue and white and Gaudy Welsh china. Originally from Meifod, Kathy is now based in Pwllheli another of Wales' farming heartland's and an area that has had a very special place in her heart since she visited as a very young mother - the first of many happy summers on the Lleyn peninsula with her growing family.

Her lovingly restored 'Oriel Kathy Gittins' in Stryd Penlan, Pwllheli is open six days a week ( 9 - 5pm) and hosts open evenings for groups and societies (large or small) throughout the year.

Open evenings are hosted by Kathy herself and friends can enjoy a brief informal talk from Kathy followed by a leisurely browse round the gallery which houses her own originals and limited edition prints and cards plus regular exhibitions by visiting artists as well as selected artefacts, sculptures and design led and innovative contemporary jewelry by British and international designers.

Although her work has earned her a world-wide fan base Kathy maintains that her main achievement, without a doubt, has been raising four wonderful children, which have all grown up and left home.
