Kathy Gittins

Kathy recently travelled to the Atlas montains in Morocco to source Berber Tourag Kilim rugs. The rugs are traditionally handmade from the silk of the Cactus plant, by the local Berber woman who live in the foothills of the Atlas mountains

Kathy's photographed here buying rugs from the local rug dealer, Zaid, in the ancient picturesque village of Ait-Ben-Hadu.
